.COM is the King??
Hello guys, so how’s everyone? I hope all are happy anf fine ine their life. So Lets check whether .COM is really a King or not?
For those who don’t what is .COM? I will say it is a Domain Extension. Now why i said .COM is a the King. .Com is one of most oldest domain extension on the web. .COM is the most used domain extension on the web.
.COM stands for Commercial. So it is meant for commercial site. Generally, all the website on the web uses .com extension. Even i have 7 .com domain.
Other Extensions
The other extension which are available on the web are .info(informatio), .net(network), .biz(business). There are also many country extensions- .in(India), .us(USA), .ca(Canada) and many more. All the country have their own domain extension.
Difference between .US domain extension and other country extension?
If you want to buy .US domain, then you must meet the following guidlines else they can take your domain back from without any notice at any time without refunding your domain registrarion charges.
Which one is smaller?
Here, i will ask one question to everyone who is reading this blog.
Which is smaller – 6 letters .com domain or 2 letters .info domain?
I will say 6 letters .com domain is smaller than 2 letters .info domain. You will say HOW is it possible?
Before telling this, i want to tell you something. Do you know what CTRL+ENETR(<-) key combination can do together?
If you press, CTRL+ENTER keys together then it will automatically www and .com to the domain name and take it to that domain page.
Let’s go back to our question. Lets take 6letters .com domain– google. If i write “GOOGLE” on my browser and press CTRL+ENTER keys together then it will automatically add www and .com to “GOOGLE” and take our browser to www.google.com.
Take 2letters .info domain, Lets take “AB.info”, it has 7 letters(including period).
But remember that, it is easier to remember 2letters domain than 6letters domain.

Hello everyone,
Here is my another blog. Everybody who owns a website must be aware of a domain name.
But i know many of you who are reading this blog are not aware about “What is a domain name?”
There is a famous saying “Whats in a Name?” But on the web, i will say there is everything in the name.
Everybody must aware about the sale of Pizza.com. This domain was sold for a million-billion dollars $$. So i think everybody understand now knows there is everything in the name.
What is a Domain name?
A domain name is similar to a name of a person. In real life, every individual have some name. Similar on the web, every website has some name.
Each website on the web has some IP address. But we don’t use these IP address for accessing instead of this, we use Domain Name which point to the IP address of the site.
We use domain name because we individual can’t remember so many numbers. To ease our learning, we use group of letters which together forms a Domain name.
To get a domain name, we need to register them first with some registrar. Here is another question arises, What is a registrar?
What is a registrar?
A registrar is a person or a website which will register a domain for you. There are many registrar which provide this service- Godaddy, Namecheap, Register, etc…For registration, they will charge some money from you.
The minimum validity of a domain name is 1year but you can also register a name for 2years or 3years or more. The more years you register, the more discount you will get.
Many of them, also provides coupon codes which will help you to get cheaper prices for a domain.
So i think everybody now must understand what’s in a Name?

What is a Refresh Rate and How to set it?
Sometime, refresh rate are described in units of cycles per second. Refresh rate can vary from 60Hz to 90Hz(monitor specific).
How the display is formed on our screen?
Our monitor screen has a coating of phosphor. In CRT monitors, there is a electron gun which fires electron towards the screen. Then beam are passed through the focusing system, the function of focusing system is to converge the beam into small spot as it strikes the phosphor. Otherwise, the electrons would repel each other and beam will spread out. The electrostatic focusing is commonly used in television and CRT monitors. With electrostatic focusing, the electron beam passes through a positively charged metal cylinder that forms an electrostatic lens. The action of the electrostatic lens focuses the electron beam at the center of the screen. Then, they are passed through the Horizontal and Vertical Deflection Plates, their function is to focus the beam of electrons to different parts of the screen. These plates are kept perpendicular to each other. The display on the screen is produced by excited electrons. After a short time, the “excited” phosphor electrons begin dropping back to their stable ground state.
Persistence- It is defined as “How long phosphor continue to emit light after the CRT beam is removed?” Lower persistence phosphor require higher refresh rate to maintain a picture on the screen without flicker. The maximum number of points that can be displayed without overlap on a CRT is referred to as RESOLUTION.
Setting a refresh of your computer is not a big deal. It can be done easily without any efforts. The value of refresh is a personnel choice. Higher the refresh rate, less will be the flickering of screen but it decreases the life of the phosphor. On the other hand, Lesser the refresh rate, higher will be the flickering but more life of the phosphor.
Steps to set refresh rate on window
1) Right click on the desktop screen and the select “Properties” from the pop up.
2) Select the “Setting” tab from the “Properties” dialog box.
3) Then click on the “Advanced” button.
4) Then select “Monitor” tab and select the refresh rate value from the “Monitor Setting” and click “Apply”. And you are done!! That’s It. Easy.
